Kathy Collins is Arizonas Entertainers owner, and our dear friend, and our agent for some venues in Arizona.
A important part of the rock-solid foundation of the newly restored New Christy
Minstrels is Dolan Ellis, whose loyalty never wavered during the trying times when
Randy was diagnosed with prostate cancer. "I ride for the brand," he announced with
appropriate cowboy brevity. "I take my orders from the trail-boss." "There's
continuity to be applauded here," Sparks acknowledges, "even though he was the first
to leave and the last to return, he's the only one of us who could not be adequately
replaced, and he's consistently exciting onstage." Dolan has served as The Official
Balladeer of Arizona for forty-five years, under a dozen governors, and now proudly
carries his adopted state's goodwill messages to all the other states wherein the
group performs. Arizona couldn't ask for a better musical ambassador.
